Why no más giveaways [for now]

I have always been able to give you my code online. I have been able to write step-by-step tutorials for you… and giving you the hardware so you could re-create my projects has always been dream of mine.

I started giving away micro-controllers and mini computers in October of 2020 as part of my mission to make tech and engineering as accessible and mainstream as possible. And after a few months of sending out Raspberry Pi Zeros (the smallest to be able to ship almost everywhere), I got reached out by my friend Rob from the ARM software developer community about sending me boards. I told him that I wanted to give them to you. So we met up, came up with a plan, I made a motorized roulette with the prize names, and started doing giveaways on my livestreams!

We soon realized how hard it is to ship products worldwide so we narrowed it down to the U.S. based participants only. It worked fine and everyone was a champ for being so happy and supportive towards the winners. But it gives me all the feels when I see you participate in the giveaway trivia question knowing that you can’t win.. I REALLY want to make these giveaways for everyone. I want to try again.

I like to show my mistakes, successes, and experiences as I engineer my way through life. This is one of those moments - when it takes several tries to get there. And after one year of doing this, I need to pause and learn from this experience to do it right.

This is not a goodbye to giveaways, this is a pause.

Code on,

e

P.S. Special thanks to my friend Robert for helping me all these months to make this happen.
